Suspension Clip Removal Tool

Post by Vanny » Wed Jun 18, 2014 9:51 pm

So this thread in the general part of the forum reminded me to share this picture with the community, it doesn't seem to exist on the internet anymore.

The picture is originally taken from the workshop manuals and shows how to modify a set of plumbers grips to for easy removal of the band strap on the front BX suspension leg that holds the leak back harness in place.

Personally I've never found the need for them, and normally use a set of side cutters to open the clip and mole grips to close it back up again.

aaah so they are just modified parrot nose/plumbers grips,

A tidy garage is an un used garage.

A messy garage is a happy garage!

(unless its full of non car junk, in which case its just sad!)
