I'd give a dealer a try - surely they can't charge that much for it? :? It would only take a minute to phone one up and find out, especially after David has found the part number.

Yes please post up the price MULLEY --- unfortunately the actual prices are no longer available online.
Sometimes (not often) you can be surprised and find the Citroen prices are not too bad so it's at least worth checking.
They really like it when you have the part number.

Hi peeps. Sorry for the absence - I've been working overseas - and now back in civilisation I'm getting back in love with my TZD. The place seems busier than I remember.

FWIW, I replaced my disintegrating spray bar with a length of copper brake pipe, which I first drilled using a micro bit in a Dremel. It fitted into the existing retainers on the wiper arm, accepted the feed hose and works perfectly. It also allowed me the chance to select where I wanted to water to go and not an anonymous French engineer with a water fetish.

As for the spindle clogging up, I found that a 1/8" drill bit on the end of one of Mr Bosch's excellent spinning implements removed an astonishing amount of crud (I think it may have enlarged the water channel ever so slightly too - but there's still plenty of metal left  ). It seemed to beat poking around with bits of wire .....

As for the puddle of meandering water on the driver's side after screenwashing - surely I'm not the only one who's swapped the park position of the wiper blade from left to right to cure this? If you carry out this 5-minute mod at the motor, the wiper blade parks neatly below your line of sight, and channels any excess water to the out edge of the screen and thence into oblivion! The other bonus is that you get first dibs at any wiping that's available without having to wait for the thing to traverse several acres of mucky glass first. When your screen's suddenly gone all opaque, and the speedo's on maxi chat, this can seriously help to alleviate a potential All-Bran moment. :)

I've tried it in the past, but find that if the wiper is wet after screenwashing, you then get spats of water blown off it and up the screen... I guess it's a trade off between the two.

Which I believe is why all Mercedes-Benz models with a single wiper always park on the driver side rather than the passenger side.

TBH I like the fact that the screen is completely clear with the wiper parked on the passenger side. If it was possible to get it right out of the way on the driver side, I'd definitely have it park there.

By that do you mean Anglesey, or the forum?
