Rear Suspension cylinder

I was hoping someone could shed a bit of light on which type of Xantia one you can use on the BX, & what adjustments/alterations you need to do on it, to make it fit correctly please?

This has been mentioned before in passing, but i dont recall anyone going into any depth about this. Depending upon the responses received, this might be worth either putting as a sticky or a write up in the diy section for future reference.

There appears to be more than one variety, some are the non hydaractive versions, can you use any or is it a specific one made from a certain date?

Any advice on this would be gratefully received.

I suggest you give the search facility a go on this site - it's amazing what you can find. Search for Xantia AND cylinder for example and look out for posts to which Anders has contributed, as he's made the substitution before now.

For general info on Hydractive there's a good section in the Citroen technology pdf that used to be available from the BX DIY site, so long as it's still up (some low-lifes started selling it on ebay a while back).
