I want to change the front speakers in the hurricane for a new set of components and new crossovers. Does the original 6 speaker setup include a crossover in the front, if so where abouts is it?
Cheers, Dan

From memory the front tweeters have a capacitor incorporated into the assembly, which will filter out the low frequencies from the signal. Ideally you'd have a crossover to seperate out the frequncies - the signal wires split behind the glovebox on RHD cars so I have fitted a pair of crossovers behind it on mine.

I'd be interested in finding the answer to this as well. I had presumed that due to the fact that this is a citroen, & whom they are famous for cost cutting, the original tweeters were just run in parallel with the front speakers & there wasnt a crossover.

None indicated in the circuit diagrams, and I've found none on any standard BX audio seup or or BX loom I've ever encountered, apart from the high-pass filtering by capacitor that Mat mentions. I think that this applies to both types: the earlier dome tweeters and the later piezos .
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

BX speakers
Yes, the tweeters are simply wired in parallel with the front speakers.
There is a small electrolytic capacitor in series with each tweeter to act as a high pass filter, this is the 'crossover'
These tweeters work just fine, and fit in the dash far right and left.
There is a wiring loom for the tweeters that plugs into the speaker feed from the radio, and is it is quite easy to retro fit this and the tweeters in the MK2 BX if they were not fitted on your model in the factory.
You need to pinch the tweeters and loom from an up-market BX.
Also look out for the upgraded front door speakers, an extra cost option.
These have a plastic cone in place of the fragile paper cone.
The rear quarter speakers are a waste of space, I recommend mounting some proper speakers in the parcel shelf.
