What is the difference between BX16V and BX GTI front brake calipers?
The 16V has the wider ventilated disk, so is the only change the 'horseshoe' metal casting bolted on?
If so, can I simply transfer this part to swap calipers between the cars?
thanks,
Mike

the caliper itself is the same but the carrier it bolts to is the same. if you want to go over to vented discs the cheapest way is to get hold of a pair of early xantia callipers and carriers you have to use the xantia bolts as there a little longer from memory use the xantia disc which i beleive is the same as the 16v one anyway. all bolts straight on works wonders and is way more available than 16v callipes

You'll need a 5 sided socket, as they have,er, 5 sided bolts.
Other than that, easy job.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
