Noticed whilst having a look underneath the car today (19gti) that the fuel pump (blue in colour) which has a silver cylinder above it (is that the fuel filter?) which has a pipe connecting both up, it seems to be mounted on a large rubber mount which is on top.
Well, it seems not to be connected to anything, so the cradle which is underneath the whole thing (slightly u shaped), allows the pump & filter to be able to move fore & aft.
Can anyone describe how the whole thing is suppsed to be supported & fixed in place please, as i'm now worried that driving the car could make the whole lot come apart.
Apologies if my description is rubbish, i can take a photo of the offending items if that helps with a diagnosis?
