I've had 17" on a Bx16V:

Ran 205/40/17 tyres.

Slightly firmer ride due to the reduction of tyre wall height.

The wheels had to be fitted with 20mm spacers IIRC.

Had to cable tie the brake cable tightly on the front caliper / strut to stop it rubbing and grind off the return lip of the inner metal rear arch.

7" wide, so again had to trim back the rear arches.

18" wheels, 8.5" on the front and 10" on the back. The dish on the rears is obscene :D

so I should be safe going for 195/50/15 , I understand that I need a 108 PCD but what would be the best ET as I know that Ford's have an ET of 38,
Would a lower ET of around 20 be more suitable on the BX? Thanks for your time.
