BX16V oil temperature

Hi,

I know all BX instrument readings fluctuate wildly, but I recall my oil temp normally read about 90 to 100 after warm up.

nowadays, it reads about 70 at most.

Is it likely just a dirty sensor connection, or something else?

Mine would sit at around 70-80, and creep just past 100 if I was particularly unkind to it.

Hi Kitch,

yes, I think that's what mine used to do.

I will clean the sensor, and look for calapsed pipes too.

Check the wire for it where it is crimped to the connector, they tend to fracture over time and give errant readings..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
