Another ABS question

Post by Matt H »

Just a quick 'what if' type question really...

My 16v has no ABS. The light has been taken out of the dash, so what would be the best course of action to get it working again? Or even just diagnose what the problem is... I basically don't know where to start.

It would be nice to get my car properly sorted, and ABS is one of those safety features I've never had on a car before.

Cheers,
Matt

Edit: I've no idea how long it has been disconnected for, or why it was, but I would guess at a duff sensor.

Duff sensor is the most likely cause, you need to get your multi tester out and the front passenger seat cushion and find out which one, hopefully only one!

Use the diagnostic docs mentioned in the other current ABS thread ... access as per Ken's advice.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
