Well, actually it's to borrow. For the BXagon. Anyone got a pipe-flaring tool and some kunifer pipe they can temporarily donate to the BXagon Challenge?

Ta!

Thanks Ken, now I have to work out a way of getting it on the BXagon. Time for the BXC pony express?

So, where can I find pipe?

No worries, it will post cheaply, but will require a signature, don't want those lovely guys at royal mail dumping it when they find it's no use to them

I live in Blaenau Ffestiniog, so could possibly pop over to you Bob. The amount of free time I have will depend on whether it passes the MOT tomorrow though...

I don't think it needs a special trip Matt. Thanks, though!

Ken, let me know how much to P&P is (I'll PM you my address) and I'll reimburse you. I'll sign for it. Now, I need someone to supply some kunifer pipe! Anyone know a source?

I bought a roll of the stuff about 3 years ago from a standard motor factors in Reading (CAFCO - IIRC) along with assorted fittings and nipples.

The whole shebang cost me less than £25 if memory serves.

Sorry about the serial repeat posts. I moderate on an internet forum that has the 'edit' and 'quote' buttons reversed compared to this one - and it's proving a habit that's hard to break.

Thanks for the lead. What should I be asking for (pipe diameter and so on)...?

I simply measured the diameter of the existing pipe using a vernier caliper and asked for a roll of that ............ They had it in stock - along with various others for different marques.

I'm assuming everybody knows that 'Cunifer' simply refers to the Cupro-Nickel it's made from .............

Sorry if that's a dimwit answer. :?

No, that's fine. I'll see if I can get some. It's a just-in-case option.

CAFCO used to be Camberley Auto Factors. They are now Motor Parts Direct, a standard parts factor chain based in Suffolk I believe.
This is not a bid to become the clubs historian/archivist by the way.

Whilst they may sell cunifer piping it is extremely unlikely that they will have the Citroen version of a pipe flaring tool.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

GSF sell rolls of 3.5mm Cupro-Nickel hydraulic pipe, which is what most of the pipes on a BX are, i think they evn sell the other diamiters but its not cheap,

or there is always Martin at pleiades he will more than likely sell you some shorter legnth than GSF sell,

he even used to sell the citroen type flairing tool
