Keyless entry system doesnt work

My 19TRS has got a factory keyless entry system that doesnt work.

When pressing the clicker/Pliper/remote, the red LED light goes on , but the car does not lock or unlock.
Is there somewhere or some how on the car that i can check to see if there is something wrong, maybe perhaps a fuse.

I will appreciate any input from anyone.

Not wishing to show you how to suck eggs, but are you pointing it at the sunroof switch from outside? It is an IR system the same as on a telly and must be pointed at the sensor from outside.

You can check the plip is transmitting IR by watching the end of the plip through a digital camera (or camera phone) while pressing the button. You should see a sequence of flashes.

I was wondering for ages what that sensor was for , just never thought of pointing the remote at it.
