BX starting perfectly then cutting off when warmed up.

thx Kiwi , is there any other remedy to the problem other than replacing the module?

First check the connections and that there is a spring clip holding the wiring to the module. Being in Auckland you got high humidity levels and mould loves to grow in the least expected places.

well exhausting the other theories this one does seem to make sense when you think about it. The module gets warm then shows the problems.

The only way to be sure is to swap the module with another. How much a new one would be I do not know but an option is to whip one of a Peugeot :wink: plenty of them knocking around.

took your advice about the distributor connections. The car is fine now.

Was it just a load of green gunk on the connectors? Or loose clip?

Clips was pretty knackered but still good . It was the gunk built up in the connctor. All good now.
