Thanks chaps. When it's a bit warmer out there, I'll start with the idle speed and lubricate as you suggest. I must say, this issue with vibration in 'D' while stationary leads me to think of double checking the engine mountings too.
I would attend to injector cleaning if there was someone local who could do it. As yet I haven't found a company that does it. I will try the mechanic I use down the road see if he can help. As it is, the injectors were cleaned by the previous owner about 22,000 miles ago.
I have a list of things to do on the car over the coming months and certainly Way2go I will (eventually) get the injectors done. One thing I'll need help in doing is testing pressure in the fuel rail.... but that too will be done.
