TD and 16V clutch - interchangeable?

is it? Because I can get one for free (in fact with TD engine and gearbox). I think I'm going to swap auto for manual, and I already have someone willing to give me BE3 in exchange for 4HP14. So my plan is to get BE3, clutch from TD (215 mm, I hope?) and 5th gear from TD box to BE3. Problem is, TD gearbox is BE1 - will 5th gear fit into BE3?
