Cheers to Doc & Max for explaining a bit more about the height correctors. I never new that, so good info to have, i presume that even if the height correctors were fine, but the linkages were worn out, that would also have an affect?

If theres slop in the ball joint / bushing, or if the linkages are sticky then it will affect ride height more so than ride quality..

There almost certainly will be slop, especially in the bush, on almost all BX's now I imagine, unless you replace the bush (cheap enough) or do Aerodynamica's pretty cool mod.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

there are two types of hight adjustment/ing going on down there,
automatic self leveling and the manual adjustment,

self leveling done via the ARB linked to the H/C,

manual adjustment via the hight lever and rods,

when the hight lever is at normal running hight (wide white bar)
the manual linkage at each end of the rod must not be touching the link arm/s to the H/C at all,

if it dose it will create drag on the automatic self leveling of the H/C mechanisum/likage's,

I thought I would re rise this thread (no pun intended  )

After having 10 months of hydruflush stuff in the system covering no more than 8,000 kms I have replaced it back with LHM. The amount of gung collected it the bottom of the reservoir was quite amazing.

But that said the ride quality with this stuff in has not been very good at all. Suspension has been pretty hard and noticable compared to the other BX.

So far just done one of my normal daily trips with the restored LHM in the system and the ride quality has improved not fantastic but has improved, I guess having the hydra stuff in the car has its drawbacks.

As I was told from the outset (not here mind you) there is a lot of dead ends on the system that will still be collecting crud that need to be bleed, thats my next task.

Also thinking of replacing the Front HC with a newer spare I have as I noticed the reaction time of that is a bit on the low side.

Verdict on Hydracrainge is its ok to a point but dont expect a good ride.
