Nailing Headlights back together

Post by CaM »

I've got a wee problem.

I sold a rh bx headlamp to a guy yesterday. I'm about to send it to him today.....

HOWEVER, on the ride from my place to work today, the glass has detached itself from the back of the headlamp. I've had this happen a few times with pug 205 and other bx ones but I usually jsut use another headlamp

what kind of adhesive would suit this task the best?

I doubt he'll care as he was only wanting the back part to begin with. I sold it cheap enough that he wouldn't be worried  .
Murphy's law depicts that this will happen to me today, though
When i was removing the engine from both the pug 205s I've owned this happened to the left hand ones

I've used the White coloured builders caulk, seemed to work fine & provided an airtight seal. They've lasted at least 3yrs & i presume are still working fine as i sold the car last year. Price = peanuts :D

Sikaflex.
Lasts forever, makes it weather proof, and it'll NEVER come apart again.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
