1.9 RD Estate in need of welding

Post by Discoil »

I know the rear of the sills need welding and have been told that the tank needs to come out.
Will the bolts shear off or will I be lucky!!!!!!!!!!

The fuel and return pipes are looking poorly, so how much are they please ?

Last year I put in some solid concrete blocks but had to take some out and make another trip as the suspension refused to rise.
Was I asking too much of the suspension ?

Finally, The wife likes the car and so we have decided to have work done in order to keep it on the road .

It's only an ' 89 ' model estate and should be ok for another 10 to 15 years.

Well we have had the rear of the sills repaired last week.

I had taken out the rear seats and carpet trims fo access to the tank bolts. Garage man said he was amazed that the tank bolts came out real easy.

I'll have to do the front suspension top mounting soon which shouldn't be too bad to do. ( here's hoping )
