Brake wear harness

In my voyage of discovery around my 16v the latest find is that both brake wear indicator lines have been cut at some point by the previous primate owner. Heaven knows why? Perhaps he was having ABS warning light issues and thought this was related?

I want to replace these as I know that the TÜV won't take too kindly to this. I can't find any diagram of where and how they connect into the loom. Does anyone have any idea how I would remove these and re-install new ( used) ones? Or could I just do a 'graft' job somewhere? Thankyou

One of the leads goes to earth on the swivel hub and the other goes through the wheelarch to a plug/connector, you should see it hanging loose with nothing plugged in.
