Larger Hydraulic Pipe Seal part number * URGENT REQUEST *

Post by Turboalternator »

Hallo everyone

Does anyone know what the Citroen part number for the seal for the larger hydraulic pipe is?

I need this info urgently.

The smaller pipe seal part number is 96085785

So that is NOT the one I'm after.

The seals I'm after are for the larger High Pressure pipes that go into the Flow Diverter Valve.

Thanks in advance and best regards

On the 4.5

Post by Turboalternator »

Hallo again Malcolm,

On the 4.5 mm ones where do they fit unto and how many of the seals, approximately, does one need for the whole car? (Worst case scenario, in the event that I have to replace everything).

Best regards,

in all the years i have worked on and around citroens i have very seldom fit new seals, all i do if they arnt mangled is pick off any strands of rubber sticking out, then re/use them,

the 4.5mm seals are for the pipes with 9mm (spanner size ) pipe nut, cant think off hand

4.5 mm seals

Post by Turboalternator »

Hallo Malcolm,

That's a good tip, (9 mm spanner), so I'll keep a look out.

By the way I have ordered some seals from Martin, (PLEIADES), and he is sending them by post today.

I also got a pk of 10 4.5mm seals .. hope that will be enough.

I'll post something on this thread when they arrive.

Thanks again Malcom -- A million times over!

Best regards,

I believe (although I'm willing to be proved wrong if anyone knows better) that all pipes are 3.5mm apart from the 6.35mm diameter pipe from the pump. The 4.5mm pipes are only for the braking system on BXs that have ABS.
It can't hurt to have a stock of all 3 sizes in stock though!
