Headlight relays

How do you wire a relay up? And which ones can I use for headlights?

I've seen the thread below, but if anyone can produce the idiot's guide, I'd be grateful.

Mike E has drawn up a sketch of the arrangement, which I've put below.

Standard automotive 4 or 5 terminal relays will be fine - the easiest thing to do is raid them from a scrap car...Swampy?

Only thing I'd add to that diagram is that you could use the relays that have spade fuses in them.
