Ok, this BX TZD I have recently bought has a problem that I really need to fix.
When I turn the ignition key it makes a click as though it is trying to start but won't, if I try a second or third time it will usually start. Is this the starter motor or the keyed ignition barrel and wires ? or anything else for that matter???????????????????
Cheers billvin

hi Gibbo, I thought it might be the solenoid, is there any guides on how to repair one that you know of on the net ?

It may sound silly, but try the battery terminals too - I had the same trouble with a car - dash lit etc, but when I turned the key, just click, and nothing.
The clue was that the clock reset, so must have totally lost power, this in turn made me check battery connections.
It's probably something more interesting/complicated, but this will take a second to check, and just maybe will save you some time/money/hassle.
