Xantia FDV in BX
Xantia FDV in BX
Well i managed t find a leak free xantia 2.0sx fdv and i am wondering if there will be any problems fitting it to my bx 19trs. It looks exactly the same and so do the fittings but i know that the power steering flow is calibrated differently on each of them. Will there be any problems other than lighter steering?

So negligible difference in power steering flow? I bought it because i was going to rebuild the FDV on the bx but thought i would try dismantling another fdv first, at the risk damaging mine in the process . But then i thought perhaps it would be better to use this in the mean time since its in good nick.

I think it IS different inasmuch as the full lock pressure relief level is different. The general steering operation should be the same (?) as this power is determined by the hydraulic pump output.
Didn't someone on here (ages ago) tell of a steering ram exploding due to some mismatched part? Might have been the seals in the pinion valve actually..
