Wiring - connector without a home..
Hi on my BX 16TXi theres always been a little mystery. Theres a loom that runs across the front of the engine which has wires going to the starter soleniod, the alterator and the block coolant temperature sensor. At the point where the wire to the starter solenoid emerges, there is also one of similar length with a blue female spade connector on the end. This has always hung loose, unattached. Anyone know where it should go or what its for ? Thx, Eric

I have a brown wire coming out of there and where on a diesel it goes to the diesel stop solenoid but it doesn't have a blue female plug. Is the plug an aftermarket crimp type where a previous owner has used this wire as an ignition feed for accessories, spot lamps or similar?

Looks like a regular original rectangular-plastic-sleeved connector and part of the original loom. Maybe its the same loom as for the carburettor BX16s and it went to something on the carburettor ? enrichment device ? E.
