diesel cambelts - all the same?

A mate has bought an XUD-9 (normally aspirated 1.9 diesel) cambelt and rensioner kit in error. Will it fit my XUD 7TE (turbo 1.7)...? If so it'll save him having to ebay it as I'll stick it on the shelf for next time.

They are one in the same, and will fit your application with no problems what so ever.

There are two types, depending on the tensioner. As long as it\'s BX era you\'ll be fine, but be careful it hasn\'t been catalogued as BX when it\'s actually Xantia or ZX. Lots of crap belt suppliers list the 1.9D n/a and later 1.9TD as the same. Think the belt is a tooth longer (or shorter) and the tensioner pulley is consquently bigger or smaller (manual and autop adj IIRC), but that\'s about it.
