I think much of the advice on here could never be considered 'official' but it is 'gold'...

Just need clarifcation - even if it heeds heresay and consensus. Nothing meant by my questioning Jay, it's just that it's probably the only time anyone's actually said it's OK to use DIII on here. Not that you can't be right of course!

DIII is bad news in ZF 4HP's, and seriousley bad news in Wilson self changing gear Leyland pnuemocyclic boxes, ZF4 and 5 HP 500/600 boxes hate it aswell.

It's the extra "slipperyness" for want of a better word, that kills them dead.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Dexron VI is also stated to replace Dexron III as an improved and compatable fluid and hence Dexron II.

There was a lot posted on this subject by Alan Smith in the past and he claimed that DIII used instead of Dexron II caused rapid and premature failure based upon practical experience with several BX autoboxes & stripdown analysis.
I believe the reason was put down to not only the type of fluid but the effects of the modified friction enhancers used in the later product.
Not yet seen any reports of Dexron VI being used in the BX but have read that the fluid is superior for transmission use over DIII but not so good for power steering. :?

IT's DEXRON Tim, not DEXTRON.
Yes, Millers make very good oils and I've used them for years.

Of course all the best people have proper auto boxes, from the same manufacturer!

LOL, no, I suspect it would struggle!
Awesome bit of kit though, except when you drop one on your foot. Steel toe caps really didn't help either, just crushed the shoe into my foot and ended up with grinding the shoe off with a 9" cutter!

Not used ATF UN before, but I did have a large barrell of Millermatic ATF DII.

Is it RED or goldy brown?
If it's red, go for it.
