I'd much rather rebuild an autobox than a manual box.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

ATF changed, although he could only get 2.5 litres out of her, what was in was black, so will need flushing and changing again soon.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Do a couple of changes in quick succession and you will notice a real improvement in smoothness, especially if the filter has been cleaned. It's not that hard to do yourself, pretty much the same as an oil change, just be careful topping up to the correct level, a few too many ml can take it over. And check level with engine running after having shifted through all gears. Don't know if i'm preaching to the converted here but its worth being careful. I've become a bit obsessive about it on my XM, and definately only use Dexron II. Be careful with gloves etc though, it can cause a skin reaction which it did with me the 1st time.

I'm looking at that white auto on ebay in the garage in Yorkshire at the moment, i really want to be able to justify it to myself as i am missing my BX. they have just put up fuel duty here. :cry:
