Window drop

Post by Defender110 »

The driverside door window on my TZD has recently taken to slowly lowering itself whilst driving along, any tips on curing this? Is it the motor or the regulator that is used to keep it shut?

window drop

I had a similar problem on my tgd it was caused by worn teeth on the quadrant gear.,at first it just dropped about 1/4 inch but eventually it would"nt close as the teeth got worn so badly .a s/h replacement has now cured the problem.

Thank you for your reply Bill, it would appear I have misunderstood my wifes description of the problem 9 ( I was listening intently to her of course) The window is actually powering itself down not dropping & the one touch white buttons have stopped working so I assume a contact has come adrift or similar in the switch. I will have to strip it and have a look further.
