When I bought my TZD the electric drivers side mirror had been replaced with a manual one, I have fitted an electric mirror today that had 5 wires 3 yellow going to a yellow plug and 2 red going to a white plug. There was a plug in my door with 3 green wires that fitted the yellow wired plug of the mirror but no plug for the red wired plug. I tried the mirror with just the yellow plug plugged in and all appeared to work fine. I put it all back together and jumped in the car to adjust the mirror and all fine, I then flicked the mirror selector switch to adjust the passenger side mirror but noted that both mirrors were adjusting at the same time.I flicked the selector switch back to the drivers side and the same happens both mirrors adjusting.
Q1. Does this point to just the isolator switch having a fault
Q2. Should there be a plug in the door for the 2 red wires or is this another optional heated extra? (when I removed the door card it was all original the sealed membrane was all intact and has never been peeled)
Q3.or do I have the wrong mirror?

TZDs only had one electric mirror as standard - the switch and wiring are the same for LHD and RHD cars which is why your switch operate both windows. The extra 2 wires are just for the mirror heater.

On my old gti it had what you've got Kevan, i suspect citroen couldnt be bothered to re-design the switchgear.

I feel a bit of a pilock now, I assumed because it had this left / right selector that the manual drivers mirror was retro fit and so I sourced an electric mirror and blanking cap just to take the car back to standard which it now isn't 
I'll study Matts link a bit more and then decide whether to do the mod or put the manual mirror back on and take it back to standard which is what I wanted in the first place.
