adjust headlight beam height on BX?

how do I adjust the headlight beam height on the citröen bx?
what tool do I need and where do I use it?

I have a Citröen BX Millesime 91

Welcome aboard;

If you lift your bonnett you will be able to see 2 x threaded bars holding the top and bottom of the inside edge of your headlamps in place, at the end of these threaded bars it has hexhagonal flats so you can use an 8mm spanner to turn them. Adjust the top one out to lower your beam or screw it in to raise your beam. If you wish to move your beam to the left adjust both out equal amounts or both in to move the beam more central.

all three mountings are adjustable usualy with an 11mm spanner/socket,

but ocasionaly they have allan fittings,

also be very carefull on moveing/turnning as they run in a nylon thread and can be rustted in,
