Clutch adjustment tips?

i didn't realise what Ken was talking about with adjustment of the bolt - from looking at it i think i have some thread there to use.
Can't crack off the bolt on the gearbox to check the oil though. My best attempts even with a day or so of penetrating oil on there have left is sheared.
