turbo and non turbo heads are not the same metals, and moreover the turbo head is somewhat stronger in the casting.

diesel heads

Post by djm666 »

so you could fit a head from a turbo diesel xantia. then just used the standard 1.7 td head gasket as required.
sounds like a plan.
the ports are the same size 1.7 or 1.9. so all the difference is in the casting. i will have to look into that.

So if you didnt know what engine they came off, how is it possible to tell the difference?
