Where to get a new pipe flaring tool

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Hi

Now that Pleiades don't sell them,

As per a post on the CCC Forum

Re: Pipe flaring tool

Hi Everyone,
Good news I have got a flaring tool from AUTOMEC.
http://www.automec.co.uk
Tel 01280 822 818
Universal light 3.5mm only £126 inc p&p. :D
You can also buy other formers for different sizes as and when needed 8)
Plus they also sell pipe and fittings

I found this tool to be very good and so simple to use 8)
It's a bit bulky for in situ work @ 180mm x 95mm x 86mm with a 290mm double handle.
I even managed to repair the pipe in situ although it is supposed to be mounted in a vice/workmate you can hold it in one hand and form the joint.

I think for some this might be of interest.

Thanks, that's very generous. :D =D>
I was posting the information more as a general note for those who would either prefer to have their own or to borrow one would be logistically tricky.

I'm sure we'll be taking you up on your offer, as the GS project gets under way in earnest...
