Antifreeze Mixture

Can someone remind me of what the various percentages of anti freeze relate to the level of minimum temperature?

I had a chart once cant find it now and well google aint exactly been my friend.

It is generally considered best to use a 50/50 mix now for optimium engine protection whilst maintaining the cooling system with the included inhibitors. Have a look at the coolant capacity of your engine and put half this amount of antifreeze in after a good flushing of the engine and radiator with a hose pipe.

I draw out a small amount of coolant from the expansion tank with a turkey baster and leave it in the freezer overnight. Won't freeze solid more like a glycol slush puppie! Bear in mind a domestic freezer is usually around -18 degrees.

And that pretty much guarentees to find any leaks that may be in the system that flushing dislodges.

As I can testify with a mysterious leaking Heater Matrix after changing the anti freeze in the TRS couple months back.
