engine variant

Post by maxgreenwood »

Does anyone know what engine a 1990 16TZS would have?

----------------------------------- HP ---- cc -------code
16 - [Details] - 01.87 - 02.93 - 72 1580 4 B1E (XU51C) Petrol
16 - [Details] - 09.88 - 02.93 - 75 1580 4 BAY (XU5CP), BAZ (XU5CP) Petrol
16 - [Details] - 07.85 - 02.93 - 87 1580 4 171D Petrol
16 E [Details] - 05.89 - 02.93 - 88 1580 4 BDZ (XU5M), BDY (XU5M) Petrol
16 - [Details] - 10.82 - 12.92 - 92 1580 4 XU52C Petrol
16 - [Details] - 03.86 - 02.93 - 103 1580 4 180Z

I'm thinking it's probably one of the last two - is the 103 HP version the 16 TXi and 92HP one the carb fed one?

I imagine the C stands for Carburettor but could be wrong

Looks like the first two are detuned versions we never saw over here, the 3rd I Imagine was the 16RE and the bottom two were the Single Point catalyst equipped (16TXI) the Multi Point Injection 16GTi (Same as the UK 205 1.6GTi/309 XSi) for the continental.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
