Sourcing a replacement accumulator
Sourcing a replacement accumulator
Anyone know where I can get the best deal on an accumulator for my St Tropez? My garage have got a Citroen quote of £232+VAT but if anyone knows a cheaper source, please could you let me know.
Also, would it be a good idea to change the accumulator sphere itself? It's got a slowish tick rate but just wondering whether to get it all done at the same time?

Thanks, Tim, my post is a bit confusing, I guess.
AEP do the spheres for 18.50, but its the accumulator itself, which I assume is also known as the pressure regulator. That's the pricey bit - Just found it on aep's ebay shop at £199. Is this the best deal I'm likely to get for a new one?
Are there recon ones around and how reliable will a secondhand one be???

The garage say it's leaking LHM. It's a niggling dribble rather than a major leak, but I want it sorted as its the last problem I have with the suspension & hydraulics.
I assume it can be re-conditioned but they won't want to bugger about with that and prefer to bolt a new one on.

Anyway the garage will be giving me a full sitrep on the pressure regulator leak later today. While they've got it, I think I have them do all the spheres. They're not hard yet, but the ride is not as soft as the 16 and I reckon they are on the way out.
