Bespoke exhausts

On the mitsi foum I'm on they are raiving about these bespoke exhaust centres that appear to be popping up everywhere. In many cases you can get complete SS system made and fitted for less than OE prices. Nice to know we won't need to stock up on exhausts for our cars as they become rarer.

I think it's a little bit of a fetish really - a polished pipe!

Ok, they do last longer but generally BX sections can still be had for low prices off ebay or cut and welded up as desired.
I went to the scrapyard, they gave me some used pipe and I cut and welded in the new section for my 16v. It's not shiny though!

Had a stainless system made to fit my old fiat doblo 1.9 td van which worked out at £300 , which wasn't much more than a standard system , just fit and forget and a little bit of extra power too. I'll be having one fitted on my Zx16v when that's due for one

I paid £300 for a stainless system at MIj performance in Walsall. No complaints, thoroughly competent job. Oval tailpipe looks so much better than the oe pea shooter!
