My Visa GTi was spurting transmission fluid out of the same place. As my local (French) mechanic - a hairy-palmed Cro-Magnon called Pat (?) couldn't find a replacement part he tried several solutions (which each time ended up as foul-smelling red puddles under the car) which involved a large hammer I think. Eventually a new part was located and voila.
