Height corrector interchangeability?

Post by toddao »

Does anyone know if there is any? Would a H/C from an XM/Xantia fit a BX?

Thanks
Todd

I've been thinking about finding that out, but have so far not been able to get Xantia ones for a closer study.

The part #:s don't match:
BX: 5921 22 / 5291 23 (front / rear)
Xantia: 5291 24 / 5291 25

but on a quick look they look quite alike anyway. I'm pretty sure it would not be a huge task to make the necessary mods in any case, but as I said, I don't know the details (yet).

A fellow Citroënist was asking details about dismantling a Xantia rear height corrector on the Finnish Citroën forum. I told him, if he has troubles getting the thing apart, he can pay a visit and we'll dismantle the thing together along with a BX one I have on my todo-list.

After taking them apart, I thought to put the parts side-by-side and see how they differ from each other.

So possible further information may be available in the near(ish) future.
