priming a lucas diesel pump

The fact that it still clicked suggests the plunger is still moving, so it would seem the rubber tip has fallen off. However, I've never heard of one separating whilst on the move - more often when the vehicle has been stood for a bit. Has it been run on veg oil?

this one has never been run on veg, that ate the plunger on my txd causing it to not stop lol the plunger is still attached at the end, I will post a pic of the old stop solenoid, probably tomorrow though as we're off to a wedding shortly and my eldest wants me to straighten her hair grrrrrrrrrr
