Anyone know where I can get this tool? Those on ebay dont have anything to grip with. What is it actually called?

Frustrating trying to adapt something yesterday, no joy. Nice bleeding fingers though.

Thanks

An 8 mm tool available on feebay which you clip to your standard socket set will do the job perfectly.

Dear Ian.
Again so sorry for my late reply about the cambelt on my BX TXi, it
was really very very helpfull and kind information that I really didn,t
know  I am at the stage today thanks to your advice, where I
have everything off, the engine mounting, the cambelt, tensioner and
the waterpump too :) and I haven,t broken or lost anything so far, so
still looking good for chaulking this job off my list
It is very nice in mid Wales, lovely place ian, trusty 2cv, they all are
trusty :!: my favourite 2cv was the beachcomber with the coke bottle
stripes down the sides.
I once took a 1981 red 99 8 valve turbo S with water injection fitted,
unbelievably fast, too fast for me anyway, you have to really hang onto
the steering wheel, when you put your foot down. lovely looking car
though 8)
Anyway must fly Ian, thanks again for all the advice it has been spot
on thank you,
Take Care and keep in touch.
Vince.

Dear BX Meteor.
You,re ears must have been burning  I found it already, just
before I started to renew the waterpump, cambelt and tensioner etc.
Although my 93 TXi was little bit different with the tensioner, than
yours, but apart from that it is and has been a huge help and for that
I need to thank-you it is 100% spot on too :)
I only had to make a special tool to adjust the tension on the new
belt, and enable me to still be able to tighten the allen key in the centre
of the tensioner at the same time, which was a bit tricky, but not too
difficult. :)
I was going to thank-you once I had finished doing it all  I have
new waterpump and gasket fitted, new tensioner fitted and new cambelt
fitted aswell, covers are back on, just putting the engine mounting back
on today before bad light was called :D
But I must say best write up and photo,s I have ever used, you have
gone to alot of time and attention to detail, that is exactly how I wanted
to do the job.
I will let you know how it goes when I fire her up OK
Many, Many Thanks indeed.

Hi Vince,
Glad that you had already found my destructions.
Reason I wrote it all up was because it was a loverly sunny day when I did it, and I just enjoyed doing it.
I wish I had checked the water pump now, but I think it is OK on my car.
I didn't know that there was a different tensioner though.
Cheers, Brian.

Dear Brian.
Finished the car on Saturday evening Brian so thanks again for that
She starts first turn, and sounds really spot on pumping the suspension
up really quickly too, so I am well chuffed :) I am just sourcing some
other coolant parts that I want to change at the same time, before I put
the water and antifreeze in etc etc
It went back together alot easier than it came apart.
Thanks again Brian, I couldn,t have done it otherwise, and I needed to
get it done before winter.
Take care Brian and please keep in touch, I am here all day everyday
so fire away.
