I think I'd be inclined to take that as an indication that they didn't need changing quite so often! :D

So this is proving not to be the DIY job to be done with a set of axle stands and car ramps

My local Garage has found the easiest part of the job was replacing the waterpump the tensioners are giving them grief and of course thats put the removal of the gearbox to get the clutch dine behind schedule. It does not help when the blardy fire siren goes off which results in no one left in the garage to work on any vehicles.
Joys of a small village if you have a vehicle in the workshop and the Fire Siren sound during the day then dont expect you vehicle to be ready at the end of the day

Trouble is the shell was never designed for these engines, so there's bugger all access at the cambelt end. In the past I've ended up jacking the engine up in the bay to get at one bolt, then letting it all the way down to get at another, and so on. It's not a job I look forward to!

this is true, but for peace of mind and the little cost I do it anyway, ok I dont have to pay garages and such, if I did that would have a bearing on frequency!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
