Stop solenoid needed

Hi everyone,

I haven't yet got around replacing the faulty stop solenoid on my Lucas pump. I have a 1769 Turbo and I'm unsure what kind of replacement part I need.

I asked my Citroen dealer and they sell those parts for 150 to 210 CHF which is incredibly expensive. Here's what I found on service citroen:

But there are two different part numbers and both aren't helping anyway. On ebay I find plenty of stop solenoids but they all look a tiny bit different and I don't know which one I need.

This one on ebay doesn't look anything like the one currently fitted. This one's more similar but still different. Mine has a green plastic top and a bent metal enclosure. Here's a picture of mine:

Which one should I go for? Needs to ship to Switzerland.

It's the second one of the two you need - they are pretty universal across different vehicles with the same injector pump. I suspect the two part numbers given by Citroen relate to the Bosch and Lucas types fitted. There will be some small differences in manufacturing method depending on who makes them, but the critical dimensions should be the same.

And it works great :-)

Those prices in Switzerland are ludicrous, perhaps you should get a container load delivered & start your own parts business & undercut the locals :lol: I know it's expensive over there, but thats robbery & for such a simple part, begs the question of how expensive are the expensive bits :shock:

Don't worry yours doesn't have a bent metal enclosure, the threaded hole it screws into is drilled at an angle as is the sealing face it tightens to.
You should be fine with the suggested types.
