BX Front Struts

As these are nigh on impossible to buy these day's, whilst i was looking on e-bay, i came across some C5 Front struts as per below:

Visually they look similarish in size? Has anyone ever had a look at these to see what dimensional differences there are & whether they could be adapted for the BX to run on LHM (C5's are LDS aren't they?), this is obviously a bit of a long shot but was wondering as these type are readily available & are cheap.

As far as I know, C5s don't run on the green stuff, they use something different.
They think it's all over, it is now!

Having no idea, I would guess that the C5 suspension needs a bit more force, while the system pressure is more or less the same => the piston diameter might be a bit higher.

I've occasionally wondered if it would be possible to grow back a corroded front strut piston by some clever electrolytic method and then somehow machine it to accurate dimensions, but since I already have more than 10 overhauled struts waiting for an eventual need, this has not been a very high priority issue. !!!---)))
