Suspension Height.

Post by bx petrol auto saloon »

Dear All.
I couldn,t help myself, when I saw some brand new spheres for sale
from GSF with free delivery aswell  So I bought a full set of five.
I have with my trusty old chain wrench, managed to renew both of
the front spheres pretty easily, and as was both of the rear spheres too.
However I still have as yet to manage to get the accumulator sphere to
shift at the moment, but it will come off one day when I get myself a new
chain wrench.
One item I am happy to say after road testing her, that strangely
enough the car now runs absolutley in the correct height postion and now
appears not to need the ride height adjusting after all
I needed to get that problem sorted before she goes in to have her
new stainless steel cat-back system fitting in the middle of next month,
when she is off to Ashford for a couple of days. :)
A new battery had to go on at the same time aswell, as it was
starting to pack up too.
All The Best.
Vince.

Dear Tim.
Firstly, how is your elbow these days Tim ? I really hope it is on the
mend now
Secondly, is I have to thank you and Chris and his Mum and Dad for
letting us buy her, and that is something I won,t ever forget Tim. :D
Thirdly, aren,t you supposed to be on holiday this week Tim :?:
aren,t you going over to Andy,s this week :?: or have I got that wrong
Tim :? If so, your always be very welcome to call in for a cuppa and a
warm up my freind
Fourtly, yes I am, I am very very lucky to have such a nice example,
the TXi and the auto is a lovely combination and a joy to drive 8)
Fifthly, I have been passed Burghley House no end of times over the
years Tim, it is a lovely place very beautiful, although I have never been
in. It is not far from Grantham Hospital, and I know the roads up there
like the back of my hand. :) To be honest Tim I would love to go, but
I would need to run it past Shari and that would not be easy :)
Anywau Tim, thanks again for your very kind comments.
All The Best Tim.

Hi Vince

I have been discharged from fracture clinic today, they said its mended "enough" but will take 2 more months to fully sorted, but i am told expect arthur itus (whos he) in my old age and I wont be able to straighten it fully again scar tissue will form around it.

Two days off this week, yesterday down at Chez Grenman dropping off his bits and meeting the fleet, today Ive been stripping the DTR of its doors and interior (replacement ones are waiting in the wings) and meeting Mr Dollywobbler and the Mk1 Estate for a very fine egg burger chips and beans 8).

Money well spent indeed, there's nothing like a comfortable ride.

Glad you're on the mend Tim! Mmmm egg burger, chips and beans...

What's that? Lol, the 'conventional' suspension on my astra is just about buggered, you can feel all the tiny lumps and bumps in the road to the extent it is crashy AND lean so much round corners that I gave them up because i'm scared it's going to fall over.

Just shows the superiority of Citroen's hydraulic system.
