Electric window mech?

The drivers electric window wasnt working on the tzd i bought i took it apart earlier today and i think there is something missing to stop the mech coming apart?? heres a pic

Have you already taken the BIG (counterbalance) spring off? or was it missing? Have you checked in the bottom of the door?

This is what it was like when I took it out, and there wasn't any other bits in the bottom of the door!

I bet if you have a rummage in the bottom of the door it will be there, although that won't have stopped it working. Swop the drivers and passengers switches over and see if it works. If not it will be either the motor or wiring/connection issues.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

The motor works fine, but the mech is all loose

look at this carefully and you can see the big spring (like a clock spring) that also holds the pivot point together

THe frame work of the mech is not designed to come apart..it is factory "pressed" into place..this is what makes them impossible to repair if worn..When they are worn the window will go up and down but pretty much any where it chooses!!!

And yes it does need the big clock spring.. if you get stuck i can send you one
