make sure you ask for forward ones and not rear ones
Always remember this clown I worked with that had a BX14E and he insisted the hand brake on his operated from the rear wheels. Then again few MOT testers have been caught out by this unique braking system the BX has over the years and still do.

Tester here in France was equally confused by the handbrake on my 1980 Land Rover the other day - which operates on its own drum on the propshaft...

Not so unique. Front handbrake also a feature on other Citroens and early Saab 900s (and possibly 99s).kiwi wrote:make sure you ask for forward ones and not rear ones

Just checked all the brakes on the BX today. In good fettle.
I've had an issue with a garage fit cable from a while ago ( old and nearly past it ) . Took the old one off and put it up against two new ones. All three were different lengths. Chose the shortest one and all appears to be wunderful now
