Camshaft Markings Identification

Post by JayW »

Does anyone have a list of camshaft markings and applications?

I currently have 2 with the following markings:

DIST 26 88 16
DIST 20 89 1

Obviously DIST denotes distributor end and the second set of numbers (88/89) presumably are the manufacture year. Anyone got any ideas of the other 2 sets of numbers?
I have zero patience for your tedium.

Aren't they stroke and duration numbers? I thought there was a pretty universal standard for these?

Edit

Spot of googling and i think i have this;

DIST aa bb cc

aa = Duration @ 0.1 mm+cl

bb= Max valve lift

cc = Duration @ 1.0 mm+cl
