Remote Central Locking

Here's one for you...

Does anyone know if it's possible to fit the central locking reciever from a ZX to a BX?

I just got annother BX TZD, and the remote plip is just about shot. I quite like the idea of getting a new reciever and matching plips, but i guess the BX/CX version is long gone now....but the ZX version might not be.

Any thoughts?

Yes, but not certain if it's just plug 'n play, or whether you need to modify the wiring though.

I just bought a cheap remote locking kit from ebay, £10 all-in from China. 6 wires and 45 minutes and all working with no need to point it at the car!

Bargain.
I have zero patience for your tedium.

Ah, interesting. I've been looking at those. I do like remote central locking, but not the older systems that leave you holding the fob against the windscreen!

Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160794843630 does the job. As lonbg as you're handy with a multimeter as the instructions are in typical chi-nenglish :wink:
