Hacking the Bosch injector pump governor
Hacking the Bosch injector pump governor
Has anyone any experience on modifying the characteristics of the XUD by changing the governor spring? I'm thinking of changing the spring to a weaker one in order to prevent rpm drop when loading the stationary engine - aiming at a constant velocity around 2000 rpm.

Changing the two-phase spring package to a normal regular spring used in variable-speed control versions of the pump should in my understanding do the trick, if only the spring constant is correct. Might take a couple of iterations to get it sorted out.
