diesel leak

Post by stevieb »

my bx txd has started weeping diesel from the pipework under the car around the area of the offside rear sill.....a few drips on the ground with all the pipework and the bottom edge of the sill wet with diesel.
Haven't investigated but all the pipes look a bit scabby. If I get the pipe replaced, i'm sure that suspension pipes will need to be replaced as well as they look like they'll get damaged while work is in progress.
This looks like a major job.....anyone had experience here?.....can they recommend anyone? NW Kent area

the suspension pipes are the other side of the car to the fuel pipes,
apart from two thin plastic trickle return pipes which run along with the two fuel pipes,

you require these ebay items

oh wow thanks for the swift response......these are definitely for the diesel?
I have a local independent citroen garage who has full facilities..........would you have any idea how how long it would take for fitting giving that he has car hoist etc....would any clamps clips or anything else extra be needed?

yes they are for a diesel and you would need to ask the garage doing the job on how long they require,

O.K Stevie its not the one I was thinking of so can't comment on how good they are.

I was worried it was the place where my car came from

If it's just the fuel pipes and nowt else, mine only took 2-3 hours to get done and Dinotrol(l?)ed so they last a while.
